Original watercolor, gouache, and mixed media collage on canvas.   Canvas is 16"X20" X1".   It is  24"X24" with feathers.  Materials include cowhide, mixed bird feathers, wood beads, and Hopi medicine wheel deer hide medallions.   
I was invited to visit Hoteville village on Third Mesa of the Hopi lands.  I also got to experience a private traditional and sacred ceremony called "Niman."  It is the ceremony where the Kachinas reveal themselves for the last time before returning to the San Francisco Peaks until they appear again at the winter solstice.   It was an amazing and life changing experience!  This series of works is done solely from my memory as photos were forbidden.
